When it comes to being active and adventures 2025 was the year for Lynne and I. But with every positive there is usually something on the other side not as good or positive.
The other side of that coin was KB Radio and KB Country. While we had a great time things were frequently behind and having to play catch up is never fun at the best of times. The biggest thing for me was I let too many things slip through the cracks, most of all my contact with friends in the music industry. I took great pride for many years working hard to maintain good relationships with those who I had built a foundation with. But when it came to messages I was constantly slow responding this past year. I have taken note on how that constant messaging and chats with people has slowed down.
I have been told of course your life changes in a relationship, but I wouldn't want Lynnes friends and contacts to feel like she can't be reached.
With all of that the on air presence became very minimum and I really feel like a lot of the fun has gone out of it.
That isn't too say I am not having fun but I think we've lost listeners because we aren't as involved as I used to be.
The best way to address that is to try and build back the trust that I lost and the listeners as well. I don't think it's going to be easy because more and more people are starting stations etc. But one thing I do know is if you deliver quality people will come.
So I kick 2026 off in a positive way. We are going to make adjustments and work harder. No hollow promises or bull shit. Just me trying to get back some of what we lost.
I look forward to the coming year and the challenges it presents. Lets sit back and in 365 days we can look back and say hey that was a success or uh oh...
All thebest in 2026 from Lynne and I.
Cheers
