The start of 2026

Through some hard work and determination Lynne and I have got the music submissions down to about a 2 to 3 week window. This may not sound great but for the number of emails we get I am extremely happy. We get more and more artists sending back responses when we can't use their music asking why.

It's a fair question but not one I want to answer all the time. We will say we are unable to use a song or songs on the stations. I have talked about the reasons before but it seems more and more artists are emboldened and feel entitled to an answer. Let me ask you. When we get a song, and we can hear it's out of tune, the production is not good or any one of a number of circumstances do you want me to tell you that.

Just because I feel the quality isn't what we need, it may in fact be the sound you are going for. There is a lot of music that comes in sounding tinny or distorted. Apparently that'd popular these days. But what works for the artist may not be the sound I am looking for. Who ammi to judge the music. No one. Except to decide what goes to air on KB Radio and KB Country Radio.

Do yourself a favor and save the attitude because once I get that, those email senders are marked as junk and no longer hit my inbox. As I say you work with us we will work with you.

A major part of our effort to get caught up near the start of the year is I wanted to get back to more live shows. Not feel the drag of work taking away from the joy of broadcasting.

We have tested some shows and programming over the past few months and it's time to get everything more focused for the listeners.

We are excited to be getting back to what KB Radio and KB Country Radio do best. Play great music, with a mix of the absolute best Indie music from around the world, plus world class programming highlighting more great music.

We celebrated 10 years in 2025, and although it was a milestone, it feels more like a cornerstone, as we continue to build and improve, extend our reach to the most listeners of and station playing Indie Music, and look forward to sharing as we dive into 2026.
